Jacquemart panelNeo-classical floral panels with urns Wood-block printed on pale pink hand-brushed background, with original border. French, circa 1801, attributed to Jacquemart. This type of wallpaper is called “linon batiste”, imitating cotton cloth, process invented by Jacquemart & Bénard in 1800. Mounted on canvas and stretcher. H. 3’5” x W. 4’3” each (2 panels available) A similar example of this design, is in the collection of the Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris.
